Your Classroom Will Change... and That's a Good Thing

I used to think my classroom had to be completely finished before the first day of school.

Now I know better.

Some of the best changes I've ever made happened weeks or even months into the school year.

Maybe a seating arrangement isn't working. Maybe your reading corner needs to move. Maybe you discover your students need more open space or a different place to keep supplies.

Changing your classroom isn't a sign that you got it wrong.

It's a sign that you're paying attention.

Every class is different. What worked beautifully one year might not work at all with your next group of students.

The best teachers aren't the ones who never change their classrooms.

They're the ones who keep adjusting until their classroom works for the students sitting in front of them.

Give yourself permission to grow right alongside your classroom.
